Rationale Development
Throughout this assignment I developed a conference with focus on the future of graphic design. The conference developed from initially being ‘above the fold’ and relating to the web design term to a much broader and easily understood conference now called “PROSPECTIVE”. People who attend this conference will leave with knowledge on what the prospective future of graphic design is. The slogan “What direction is the future of design”, relates to the visual material, and the arrows with a intentional direction ‘pun’. The 5 speakers at the conference all work with different visual material from books and print to virtual reality and web, they will talk about what the prospective future could be. The design style used inspiration from Swiss Design and ended up very clean with a bright colour palette to enforce a hopefully bright future of design. Throughout this paper I managed to control my time well and refine final works that articulate my intended theme well.

Final developments
Final Brochure Developments -
Final brochure, this works and flows cohesively over the spreads, I like the flow and the use of the arrows and patterns which are created.
Final Poster -
Final poster design developed and completed
Final Banners and Bag - Layout as well for print
All of the developments I have made are only very slight and everything is now ready for hand in, I will now take my work to be printed off for final presentation.
The arrows articulate what I was intending to say with my work and I am quite happy with how it the works have developed.
Last Class before hand-in
Printout to present for critique -
Printed versions of my above work for critique, I think they are looking well resolved and relating well over the contexts.
This brochure is looking good and I am happy with where it is now, the style and reading of it as a book has definitely improved the overall feel of the work. One critique I have has is the size of the text, it is feeling too large right now and I think it needs to be smaller to read better.
Type developed:
I made the type smaller for critique and it is looking much better.
Critique with Lee -
Overall all my designs are working cohesively together, Lee outlined a few things which need slight refinement - these are circled below. From here I will refine these and print out my brochure one more time then I will - hopefully have everything finalised!

Development post critique
The texture must go -
Poster minus the texture:
Booklet development also:
Creating and changing my design into a 12 page saddle staple booklet, taking on the teachers critiques
I believe this booklet is now looking very dynamic and starting to look nice aesthetically, I will hopefully get a critique soon for this.
I am focusing on primarily the booklet and the poster as these two items I need to print on Wednesday and the other items I have right through to Friday to work on.
Banner Development:
Creating outside banners which guide audience into the conference
Developing the above banner, taking out the orange over the concrete and putting the arrows on the doors, the same as the arrows which would be on the back doors
Working on a better way-finding, thinking about directional spaces and ways things can be positioned on the walls etc.
Developing fourth item:
Working on the style of the bag, the arrows all over the place design looks nice. These way-finding banners and the bag both need a lot of improvements still, I have mostly been working on the brochure.

Class - printed versions of everything for critique!
Lecture notes about hand-in:
Printed brochure and other touch-points:
This is the front and the back, they position together nicely but once opened the shapes change and don't stay the same, this is seen in the full spread.
Other touch-points + banners:
Critique:
The critiques I received were conflicting but there were some great points made -
From here I will continue to develop both and I believe going back to a stapled booket will work well.
